Neeme J\u00e4rvi on Eduard Tubina teoseid k\u00f5ige enam juhatanud dirigent. Ta \u00f5ppis Tubina muusikat tundma juba 1950. aastatel ning m\u00f5istis kohe selle suurust ja t\u00e4hendusrikkust. 1961. aastal, kui Tubin k\u00fclastas Eestit, tutvus J\u00e4rvi heliloojaga ka isiklikult ja sellest ajast peale on Tubin olnud \u00fcks kesksetest autoritest tema repertuaaris.<\/p>\n

Tubin hindas J\u00e4rvi t\u00f5lgendusi v\u00e4ga k\u00f5rgelt ja kirjutas talle m\u00f5eldes oma Kaheksanda s\u00fcmfoonia, mille esiettekanne toimus 24. veebruaril 1967 Tallinnas Eesti Raadio s\u00fcmfooniaorkestri esituses J\u00e4rvi dirigeerimisel.<\/p>\n

1980. aastatel plaadistas J\u00e4rvi kogu Tubina s\u00fcmfoonilise loomingu Rootsi plaadifirmale BIS, mis aitas kaasa Tubina muusika l\u00e4bimurdele. Alates 2000. aastast on J\u00e4rvi Rahvusvahelise Eduard Tubina \u00dchingu presiidiumi esimees.<\/p>\n
